Positive behaviour support training: your questions answered
Where can I do positive behaviour support training in Australia?
ConnectFirst™ positive behaviour support training is delivered 100% online, so you can train from anywhere in Australia, including regional and remote areas.
Is PBS training online?
Yes. Our courses are self-paced online, and 1:1 and group clinical supervision is delivered online too, so you can fit training around work and family.
Who is positive behaviour support training for?
People entering positive behaviour support, such as teachers, allied health professionals, nurses, social workers and disability professionals, and practising behaviour support practitioners who want ongoing PD and supervision.
Does PBS training make me an NDIS behaviour support practitioner?
Training on its own doesn't. NDIS suitability is decided by the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission based on your qualifications, experience and evidence of capability against the PBS Capability Framework. Our training, supervision and portfolio guidance help you build that evidence.
Is your training aligned with the PBS Capability Framework?
Yes. Our training and supervision are designed to help you build and evidence capability against the NDIS PBS Capability Framework.
Do you offer restrictive practices training?
Yes. Our Training Platform includes courses on regulated restrictive practices and reduction strategies, and our supervision supports practitioners working with restrictive practices.
How long does PBS training take?
The Six-Week BSP Intensive takes six weeks. Our Training Platform courses are self-paced, so you can complete them at your own speed throughout the year.
